Summary 

The Chief of Staff will be an experienced senior leader accountable for overseeing and coordinating key functions and processes within the business. This role will serve as the liaison between the Executive, multiple departmental functions and key stakeholders, and bridges the gap between strategy and execution.

This is a high profile multi-faceted role that will require a resilient, driven and intellectually dexterous individual with strong commercial and financial acumen in order to provide key strategic insight across all areas of the business. Working closely with the board and the wider management team the successful candidate will take on a number of high profile projects that will drive overall performance as well as the culture of the business.

An individual’s ability to liaise and work with a diverse team of high performing executive directors, other board members, professionals and investors will be crucial to success. It will therefore require skills in business analysis, project management, financial acumen, operational management and work flow analysis.

There is a demand for the provision of management information which serves a genuinely useful functional purpose, enabling the professionals working within the wider global organisation to operate more efficiently and collaboratively.  The successful candidate will therefore be able to work at both a strategic and operational level, providing solutions and implementing them.

The ideal candidate will have a proven track record, most likely within a technology company or a similar organisation, where the transferability of skills is demonstrable. Competency across Finance, Marketing, E-Commerce, Risk / Fraud and HR functions will ensure the ability to engage with broader operational, financial and business issues. He or she will be a skilled communicator, mediator and leader with highly developed emotional intelligence, and as such, will be capable of influencing and motivating others in the achievement of goals. Robust, persuasive and confident s/he will be a team player, able to inspire confidence. There is a flat, non-hierarchical structure and an inclusive and respectful culture.  Candidates will be expected to demonstrate their ability to fit and succeed in this environment.

High energy and a sense of urgency are prerequisites, as is the ability to take ownership of and manage projects that will optimise the operational and financial performance of the business.
