We’re looking for an experienced and innovative Head of Learning to join the People Team.

What you’ll do

  • Be responsible for developing and leading a team that drives a culture of lifelong learning and development, prioritizing and embedding critical skills and capabilities needed to deliver our vision.
  • Advising and guiding your peers, Leaders and the wider Business all learning strategies, methods, initiatives to build a culture where learning is part of who we are, and not just something we do,
  • Consult with leaders throughout the organisation to deeply understand the ongoing needs and challenges of the business and translate that into an impactful L&D strategy and roadmap.
  • Responsible for the L&D team’s creation of learning related content for internal use, including skills based training, internal knowledge share workshops, leadership development, culture and values sharing, on-boarding content for global teams for employees and leadership.
  • Lead, develop and implement strategic programmes of work, along with the wider People Team, that make a difference to staff experience, growth and retention.
  • Transform leadership development to ensure our leaders are equipped to lead through change and in a new workplace context. We want our Leaders to excel and need this team to be part of this transformation
  • Lead the Learning Team in successful delivery of roadmap initiatives and ongoing business as usual activities—developing team members as professionals and subject matter experts.
  • Implement tools and establish company-wide processes that help us to scale our learning programme and professional development capabilities.
  • Evaluate the impact of specific initiatives as required.
  • Proactively work with external providers and internal knowledge experts to build bespoke programmes, responding to fast-changing needs.
  • Act as a coach and mentor as needed.
  • Be a sounding-board for peers and Leaders across the business as needed.
  • Leader of Leadership and Executive development initiatives and requirements.
  • Build and develop a team of L&D professionals to serve the Global needs of various businesses.
  • You will be part of the Global People Leadership team, and a Subject Matter Expert in your field.

  • Strong executive presence and experience working with senior leaders—ability to set and manage expectations with leadership and stakeholders throughout the business.
  • Comfortable and adept at crafting learning and professional development strategy for an agile and rapidly-growing business.
  • Expert communicator with excellent consultant and facilitation skills.
  • Able to diagnose capability gaps and root causes underlying organisational challenges, and then design/facilitate innovative solutions and interventions.
  • Experience balancing multiple priorities at once, and also balancing innovation with efficiency.
  • Experience planning, budgeting, and forecasting.
  • Ability to work autonomously and with ownership of outcomes for high-profile, high-impact projects.
  • Ability to develop strong working relationships and to influence outcomes across the organisation.
  • Ability to bring insights and evidence to the business, helping to inform decisions.
  • Persistent in driving positive change and willing to challenge processes to optimise people and business performance.
  • Creative, innovative, fantastic team player with a positive attitude.
  • Coaching certification and/or experience in psychometric assessments is desirable.
  • Experience with LMS and other learning tools is a plus.

Base requirements

  • Experience in a Learning and Development role at a senior level where getting your voice heard and getting Learning and Development seen a strategic value-add within the organisation is key.
  • Proven track record supporting or leading organisational change projects, as well as defining the strategy for L&OD, with measurable outcomes.
  • Must have previous experience working directly with stakeholders to design and deliver programmes and interventions to meet business needs.
  • Proven ability to manage shifting priorities as well as work simultaneously on multiple projects.
  • Experience with distributed, international teams, in a complex organisational / consultancy environment.
  • Ability to influence, guide and have your voice heard.
